Patricia C. Uderman

Patricia C. Uderman, affectionately known as Patty, age 77 years, peacefully departed this life on Thursday evening, January 9, 2025, at her home. Born on February 2, 1947, in Passaic, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Josephine (Vitale) Murphy. She had formerly resided in East Rutherford, NJ, Lodi, NJ, Ringwood, NJ and finally, Hunterdon County, NJ since 1985. 

Patty will be remembered as an excellent wife and soulmate to her husband, John C. Uderman, with whom she shared a devoted marriage of 51 years, having tied the knot on May 19, 1973. Together, they created a nurturing and vibrant household that served as a refuge for their children. As a loving mother, she took immense pride in her family, including her daughter, Sherri Rowan and her husband William of Cape Coral, FL, and her son, John Uderman and his wife Emily of Milford, NJ. She was also a doting grandmother to four grandchildren: Johnathan, Dylan, Shaun, and Callen Uderman; and loving sister to her brother, Harry Murphy of Cayucos, CA.

Professionally, Patricia had a diverse career. She was formerly employed as an administrative assistant for Johnson & Johnson, where she demonstrated her exceptional organizational skills and dedication. In addition to this role, she also thrived as a self-employed house cleaner and nanny, showcasing her passion for caring for others.

Patty possessed a vibrant spirit that extended beyond her professional endeavors. She enjoyed painting and drawing, where she expressed her creativity and love for the arts. Additionally, she cherished motorcycle rides with her husband, creating lasting memories on the open road.

Moreover, she was a long-time member of the Shepherd of the Valley Church, Milford, NJ. There, she was an active member of the church worship team and the church women's group.

She was predeceased by her parents, who have welcomed her into eternal rest.

In her passing, Patty leaves behind not only the indelible mark of her love and nurturing spirit but also the cherished memories that will be held dear by her family. She will be profoundly missed but fondly remembered by all whose lives she touched.
