Patrick Joseph O’Reilly passed away on Thursday February 24th, 2011 at Hunterdon Care Center with his devoted wife and family by his side. He was 89.

Born in Mullahorn, County Cavan, Ireland, he resided in New York for 56 years before moving to Flemington, New Jersey in 2005 with his beloved wife Brigid.

Patrick was a professional bartender in New York City for more than 50 years where he shared his beautiful smile with many. He enjoyed all sports but the New York Yankees were his favorite. He was active with the Cavan Men’s Association and the Mullahorn Irish Football Club.

Patrick was preceded in death by his brothers Terrance and James of Ireland and his sister Margaret of Scotland.

He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Brigid; a daughter Bridget Robichaud and her husband Albert of Ringoes, NJ; a son Patrick O’Reilly and his domestic partner Victor Jaccarrino of New York; a brother Bartley of England; a sister Mary Cerand of England; a sister Anna May Kilkenny of Ireland; two loving grandchildren, Brian and Meagan Robichaud and many nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at 10:00 a.m. in St. Magdalen Church, 105 Mine Street, Flemington, NJ under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will follow in St. John's Cemetery, Middle Village, Queens, NY. Calling hours will be Sunday from 1:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 p.m. in the Funeral Home.
