Patrick Stephen Kane, age 30, died Saturday, April 26, 2014 at home.
Born August 18, 1983, in Oceanside, NY, to Kathleen (McKay) and Stephen P. Kane, he was predeceased by his grandparents, Arthur and Sarah Kane, and Robert McKay.
Patrick graduated in 2002 from North Hunterdon High School and later attended West Chester University. He was a very spiritual person and a member of Immaculate Conception Church in Annandale - his faith in the Lord Jesus Christ played a very important role in his life. Fascinated by nature, he could feel God's presence surrounding him. One of the last things he did was to plant a tree at his home.
Patrick was a music lover, the band Phish, in particular, and was a big sports fan, especially the New York Mets, Giants, and Rangers.
In addition to his parents, Patrick is survived by his sister, Meghan Kane, his brother, Brendan Kane, and his grandmother, Dorothy McKay, his aunt, Charlotte Kane, his aunts and uncles, Regina and Don McDevitt and Diane and Jeff Camaro, as well as his many friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 am on Wednesday, April 30, 2014 at Immaculate Conception Church, 316 Old Allerton Road, Annandale, NJ. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 2 to 4 pm and from 7 to 9 pm at Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Patrick's memory may be made to the National Alliance on Mental Illness at NAMI Hunterdon, Inc., PO Box 229, Flemington, NJ 08822-0229.
