Paul A. Thompson, Sr., age 69 years, of Raritan Township, NJ, died Friday, November 14, 2014 at his home.
Born in Queens, NY, April 25, 1945, son of the late Norman and Julia Edmund Thompson, he resided in the Flemington, NJ area for the past thirty-seven years.
Paul worked in financial services and was the owner and operator of Commission Express, Flemington, NJ.
A long time parishioner of St. Magdalen Church, Paul was a member of the Knights of Columbus, the Building and Grounds Committee at St. Magdalen Church, and a driver for the Lord’s Supper.
Surviving are his wife of forty-six years, Mary Ann Thompson; one daughter, Christine Ann Workowski of Fincastle, VA; four sons, Paul Andrew Thompson, Jr. of Baptistown, NJ, Scott Daniel Thompson of Bridgewater, NJ, Kevin Douglas Thompson of Waterbury Center, VT and Gregg Michael Thompson of Brooklyn, NY; one brother, Norman S. Thompson of Gladstone, NJ; two sisters, Mary E. Jebara of New York City, NY, and Patricia A. Kummer of New Providence, NJ, also surviving are three grandchildren, Julia A. Workowski, Aaron Y. Workowski, and Sydney V. Thompson.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, November 19, 2014 at 10:00 AM in St. Magdalen Church, 105 Mine Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will follow in St. Magdalen Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 PM in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ.
Memorial contributions in Paul’s name may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
