Paul Douglas Cronce, age 94 years, of Ringoes, NJ, died Wednesday, November 4, 2015, at Hunterdon Care Center, Raritan Township, NJ.
Born in Ringoes, NJ, November 17, 1920, son of the late Paul Q. and Mary Strimple Cronce, he had resided in Ringoes all his life.
Doug was a US Army Air Corps veteran of World War 2, serving in the China, Burma, India theatre of operations. After eight years in the military, Doug was a civil service employee at McGuire Air Force Base for twenty-five years.
He was a seventy-nine year member and elder of the Kirkpatrick Memorial Presbyterian Church of Ringoes, NJ; a member of Amwell Valley Fire Co. of Ringoes; a former superintendent of Union Cemetery, Ringoes, NJ, and was an avid pilot.
Surviving are his wife of sixty-seven years, Grace Bateman Cronce; a daughter, Beverly Kaminski of Titusville, NJ; two sons, Rev. P. Douglas Cronce and his wife, Roberta, of Whitehall, PA, and Darryl Cronce and his wife, Nancy, of Hillsborough, NJ; seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Friday, November 13, 2015, at 11:00 AM in Kirkpatrick Memorial Presbyterian Church, 37 John Ringo Road, Ringoes, NJ. Interment will be in Union Cemetery, Ringoes, NJ, under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Calling hours will be Friday 10:00-11:00 AM at the church.
