Paul E.L. Burgoyne

Paul E.L. Burgoyne, age 74 years, of East Amwell Township, NJ, died on Monday, May 23, 2005, in the Hunterdon Medical Center, Raritan Township, NJ.

Born in Baltimore, MD, March 17, 1931, he was the son of the late Paul and Alma Elizabeth Dix Burgoyne, Sr. He had resided in East Amwell Township, NJ since 1985.

He was a Korean War veteran of the United States Marine Corps.

He was retired from Exxon Corporation, Linden, NJ, having been employed as a computer center manager. He was a life member of the Amwell Valley Rescue Squad, Ringoes, NJ; a former Elder and Deacon at the Flemington Presbyterian Church, Flemington, NJ, and a former State Finance Officer with the Military Order of the Purple Heart.

He is survived by his wife, Lois Cassens Burgoyne; four daughters, Andrea Burgoyne of Cockeysville, MD, Adrienne Smith of Sparks, MD, Aimee Burgoyne-Black of Neshanic Station, NJ, and Noelle Burgoyne of Philadelphia, PA; two brothers, David Ross Burgoyne of Chesapeake, VA, and John Burgoyne of Ellicott City, MD; and four grandchildren, Mirielle Burgoyne, Devon Burgoyne, Ivy Smith, and John Smith.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 8 PM in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will be in Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, VA, at a date to be announced. Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM in the funeral home.
