Paul M. Bugyi, age 82 years, of Franklin Township, Hunterdon County, NJ, died on Friday, October 30, 2009, in Eustis, Florida.
Born in Flemington, NJ, June 17, 1927, he was the son of the late Paul F. and Mary Tirpok Bugyi.
Mr. Bugyi was a retired construction worker with the Painters Union, Plainfield, NJ, and a United States Navy veteran of World War II.
He was a 1947 graduate of Flemington High School; a member of the Quakertown United Methodist Church, the Promised Land (PA) Community Church, the Southern Palms Church, Eustis, FL, and Flemington American Legion Post #159.
He was an avid fisherman, and enjoyed teaching many children how to fish. Mr. Bugyi also had his own band for many years and played the violin.
Surviving are his wife, Doris Mathews Bugyi; two sons, John Bugyi of Morris, NY and Richard Bugyi of Phillipsburg, NJ; two daughters, Deborah Walker of Bowmansville, PA and Kathleen Sutter of Colorado Springs, CO; eleven grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday at 10:00 a.m. in the Quakertown United Methodist Church, Quakertown, NJ. Interment will be private. Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 7:00-9:00 p.m. in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ.
