Pauline Connor Foster, of Clinton, a former long time resident of Union, died on November 25, 2010 at Rolling Hills Care Center. She was 97. She is predeceased by her loving husband George N., after 68 years of marriage. They met at the root beer stand in Olympic Park, Irvington, NJ and were married on December 13, 1941.

She was the devoted mother of Patrice Sharp and her husband Jack of NJ, Kathy Denyse and her husband Dennis of NJ, Alice Mayfield and her husband Robb of CO. The proud grandmother of Douglas Sharp and his wife Monica of NJ, Brian Sharp and his wife Carrie of NC, Lynn Brown and her husband Keith of CA and Donald Halliday of PA. The loving great-grandmother of Benjamin and Stephanie Sharp of NJ, Fiona and Lila Sharp of NC and Eric and Jayden Brown of CA.

Her warmth and gentle nature welcomed all into her heart. Her family was her passion and she will always be remembered as a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She will be greatly missed.

She was born in Appomattox, VA, the daughter of Vaughn and Eather Falls Connor. She is predeceased by her sisters Helen Briggs and Beatrice Powers and her brother Robert Connor. She was also the loving Aunt of 5 nephews and one niece.

She is a graduate of Drake College where she received a secretarial diploma. She was an active member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Union Elks, Eastern Star, Historical Society of Union and Connecticut Farms Church in Union.

Calling hours will be held on Monday from 6:00-8:00 p.m. in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ.
