Peter C. Vlahakis

Peter C. Vlahakis, age 80 years, of Raritan Township, NJ, died on Sunday, November 20, 2005, in the Hunterdon Medical Center, Raritan Township, NJ.

Born in New York City, NY, September 25, 1925, he was the son of the late Constantinos and Helen Kostakos Vlahakis.

He formerly operated Vlahakis Store, New York City, NY, Clinton, NJ, Whitehouse, NJ, and Flemington, NJ until 1971. He then became a self-employed real estate agent and broker.

He was a United States Navy veteran of World War II.

He was a member of the Greek Orthodox Parish of Hunterdon County, Croton, NJ.

His wife, Antoinette Drocopoulos Vlahakis, died April 10, 2005. Surviving are a son, Daniel Vlahakis, of Raritan Township, NJ; a daughter, Candy Pierce, of Fanwood, NJ; two sisters, Irene Hindle of Flemington, NJ, and Maria Pappas of Clearwater, FL; a brother, James Vlahakis, of Tarpon Springs, FL; and four grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 10 AM in the Greek Orthodox Parish of Hunterdon County, 670 Highway 12, Croton, NJ. Interment will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Flemington, NJ. Calling hours will be held on Friday from 7-9 PM in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ.
