Peter T. Chromeck, age 80 years, of Flemington, NJ, died Monday, April 17, 2017, at the Hunterdon Medical Center, Raritan Township, NJ.
Born in Manhasset, LI, NY, May 21, 1936, son of the late Frank and Mary Chromeck, he had resided most of his life in Delaware Township, NJ and had resided in the Flemington area three years.
Pete was employed as a truck driver by Apgar Bros., Bound Brook, NJ, then by Rickel Home Improvement Center, then by Mannon Excavating & Paving of Flemington, NJ and lastly by NAPA Auto Supply, Flemington, NJ.
Pete was a former member of the NJ National Guard and a former member of the Delaware Valley Horseman's Association. He was a member of the McDonald's group and Planet Fitness Gym.
Surviving are his wife of thirty-two years, Julie Wagner Chromeck; two daughters, Shelley Corrado and her fiance, Mark Huber, of Ringoes, NJ, Darcy Corrado and her husband, Paul, of Milford, NJ; a son Michael Chromeck and his wife, Debbie, of Tabernacle, NJ; two step-sons, Jeff Gruchacz and his wife, Carol, of Stockton, NJ and Todd Gruchacz and his wife, Dineen, of Stockton, NJ; a brother, William Chromeck and his wife, Joyce, of Sergeantsville, NJ; four grandchildren, Daniel (and his wife, Courtney), Chelsea and Kathryn Chromeck and three step-grandchildren, Jeffrey, Brooke and T.J. Gruchacz.
Funeral services will be held Friday, April 21, 2017, at 11:00 AM in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Cremation will be private. Calling hours will be Friday 9:30-11:00 AM at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 7 Ridgedale Avenue, Suite 103, Cedar Knolls, NJ 07927.
