Philip A. Hershbine

Philip A. Hershbine, age 62 years, died Wednesday, March 20, 2024, at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Muhlenberg in Bethlehem, PA.

Born September 25, 1961, in Flemington, NJ, Philip was the son of the late Percy and Lucille (Jornov) Hershbine.

Phil is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Maureen (Meyer) Hershbine; his daughter and son-in-law, Joyce and Steven Styczynski of Wind Gap, PA, his grandchildren, Cora and Grayson Styczynski and his step-grandchildren, Natalie and Kyrra Styczynski; his son and daughter-in-law, Andrew and Dara Hershbine of Bangor, PA, his grandchildren, Raegan and Kyler Hershbine; his sister and brother-in-law, Linda and John Kenney of Wisconsin; his brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Anne Hershbine of Exeter ME; his daughter Lisa DeLena of Phillipsburg, NJ; as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Phil was a dedicated member of the community, serving on the Board of Education for Hunterdon Central High School from 2004 to 2009. He was deeply committed to education and worked tirelessly to improve the school system for students and teachers alike.

A member of Stanton Reform Church, Phil participated in the Men's Breakfast group, where he formed friendships and found great joy in fellowship and shared faith.

Phil had a passion for woodworking and was an accomplished woodturner. He spent countless hours in his workshop creating beautiful pens and other gifts, which he generously shared with family and friends. His craftsmanship and attention to detail were evident in every piece he made.

Above all, Phil cherished his family. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, always putting his loved ones first. His love and attention knew no bounds, and he will be remembered for his kindness, generosity, and unwavering love.

Funeral services for Phil, officiated by Monsignor David Fulton, will be held at 4:00 pm on Tuesday, March 26, 2024, at Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ 08822. Cremation and interment will follow privately at a later date. Calling hours will be Tuesday from 1:00 pm until the time of service at the funeral home.
