Phyllis N. Lovisa

Phyllis N. Lovisa, age 57 years, died Thursday, October 31, 2013 at home in East Amwell surrounded by her loving family.

Phyllis was raised in Teaneck, NJ, and then lived for many years in Oakland, NJ before moving to East Amwell in 2007. She retired in 1989 from Mutual Benefit Life in Newark to raise her family. She loved to spend time in her garden and was known by many for her distinct baking, often making special cakes, pastries, and other baked items for school functions and various charities.

Predeceased by her parents, Herbert W. and Ethel E. (Haines) Weinrich, she is survived by her husband of 35 years, Angelo Lovisa, and her children, Melanie and Christopher Lovisa. She is also survived by her brothers, Herbert Weinrich of Wyckoff, NJ, and Paul Weinrich of Fairlawn, NJ, and her sister, Ann Weinrich of Fairlawn, NJ, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be held Monday, November 4, 2013, at 8:00 PM in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will be private in Highland Cemetery, Hopewell, NJ. Calling hours will be Monday from 1:00 to 3:00 PM and from 6:00 until the time of service at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Phyllis’s name may be made to the Hunterdon Regional Cancer Center, 2100 Wescott Drive, Flemington, NJ 08822.
