Phyllis S. Chapin

Phyllis S. Chapin, age 85 years, of West Chester, PA., died Thursday, March 12, 2015, in Barclay Friends Nursing Center, West Chester, PA. Born in Worcester, MA, June 28, 1929, daughter of the late William and Alice Morey Spooner, she had resided in East Lynne, CT., then in Readington Township, NJ, until moving to West Chester seven years ago. A homemaker, Phyllis was a member of the Flemington Presbyterian Church where she was formerly a member of the church choir. She was also a member of the Flemington Presbyterian Church Women's Association. Phyllis was also a member of the Whitehouse Chapter of the DAR. Her husband, R. Ross Chapin, died in 2008 and a son, Ralph Chapin III, died in 2014. Surviving are a son, William Chapin, of Somerset, NJ; a daughter, Carol Chapin Antedomenico of Danbury, CT.; four grandchildren, Justin W. Chapin, Kevin M. Chapin, Grace M. Antedomenico and Elizabeth Ross Antedomenico; and a sister, Evelyn Bird, of Palmer, MA. Funeral services will be held Monday, March 16, 2015, at 1:00 PM in the Flemington Presbyterian Church, Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will be in Newell Cemetery, Stanton, NJ, under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Calling hours will be Monday 11:00AM-1:00PM at the church.
