Priscilla C. Jefferson

Priscilla C. Jefferson, age 82 years, of Clinton Township, NJ, died Saturday, June 8, 2019, at her home. Born in New York City December 29, 1936, daughter of the late Thomas and Helen Dimitori Churchill, Priscilla grew up in Nutley, NJ, and formerly resided in East Orange, NJ before moving to Hunterdon County fifty-six years ago. Priscilla was a substitute teacher, a former buyer for Bamberger’s Store; and later was a retail salesperson for department stores. She was a member of Calvary Episcopal Church of Flemington, NJ; was Past President of the Community Garden Club and was a member of the Flemington Woman’s Club. Priscilla also enjoyed painting, flower arranging, and gardening. A son, Jonathan Jefferson, died in 2015. Surviving are her husband of fifty-six years, Richard G. Jefferson; two sons, Timothy Jefferson of Annandale, NJ and Richard G. “Jeff” Jefferson, Jr. of Whitehouse Station, NJ; two grandchildren, Andrew Jefferson and Hannah Patteson; and a sister, Judith Stothoff of Flemington, NJ. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, June 15, 2019 at 10 AM in Calvary Episcopal Church, Broad Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will be in the Calvary Episcopal Church Memorial Garden.
