R. Robert "Bob" Whittom

R. Robert “Bob” Whittom, age 68 years, of Raritan Township, NJ, died on Tuesday, April 28, 2009 in the Hunterdon Care Center, Raritan Township, NJ.

Born in Elizabeth, NJ, November 2, 1940, son of the late Howard and Ruth Lutz Hermann, he had resided in Raritan Township, NJ for the past twenty-two years, having grown up in Roselle, NJ and also having formerly lived in North Brunswick, NJ.

A true lover of life, his family and his friends, Bob worked in the Engineering Department at PSE & G for over thirty-five years before retiring in 2000. After his retirement, he then worked at Garden State Brickface & Stucco, Roselle, NJ.

Surviving are his wife of twenty-two years, Patricia Duffy Whittom; four children, Cindy Lukas of Union, NJ, Robert “Bob” Whittom of Denville, NJ, Amy Stabile of Somerville, NJ and Jordan Whittom of Raritan Township, NJ; six grandchildren, Keith Wilson, Ryan Whittom, Sophia Stabile, Tommy Lukas, Alana Lukas and Jack Stabile; a brother, Harry Whittom of Toms River, NJ; and two sisters, Nancy Yuhas and Susan Harmsen, both of Toms River, NJ.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday at 11:30 a.m. in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will be private.
