Ralph William Cannizzaro

Ralph William Cannizzaro, age 88, of Long Branch, NJ, died on Wednesday, March 28, 2018 at CareOne, Wall, NJ.

Born in Paterson, NJ, February 2, 1930, he was the son of the late Raphael and Josephine Cormaci Cannizzaro. He had formerly resided in Woodcliff Lake, NJ.

Ralph was a graduate of Montclair State University with a BA in Mathematics and also a graduate of Fairleigh Dickinson University. A Korean War veteran, he entered the United States Air Force in 1952, and was honorably discharged in 1956. He became a Systems Architect for IBM, where he enjoyed a lengthy career before retiring.

Surviving are his sister, Jean Barber, of Tinton Falls, NJ; three nieces, Jill Ruroede of Bel Air, MD, Janet McDermott of Long Branch, NJ, and Amy Bogart of Flemington, NJ; and his great nephews and niece: Matthew McDermott, Nicholas Ruroede, Jeffrey Bogart, Jeremy Ruroede, and Rachel Bogart.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 31, 2018 at 3:30 PM in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment with military honors will be held on Wednesday, April 4, 2018 at 11:30 AM in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Totowa, NJ. Calling hours will be held on Saturday from 2 PM until time of service in the funeral home.
