Randy S. Lavoie, age 59, died, Friday, September 25, 2015 at Hunterdon Care Center in Raritan Township, NJ.
Born September 20, 1956, in Pluckemin, NJ, Randy was the son of the late Fred and Gladys Allen Lavoie. He graduated Southern Regional High School in Manahawkin, NJ in the Class of 1974. Randy later received a Master’s Degrees in Chemical Engineering and Psychology from Caldwell College (NJ). He worked the last sixteen years at Infineum, Inc. in Linden, NJ, as a Process Tech, and most recently as a Supervisor in the Components Console 2 Operations.
An avid NY Jets fan, Randy enjoyed bowling at Manville Lanes, playing softball with the Hillsborough Reformed Church team and loved all outdoor activities, especially fishing and hunting in the mountains of Pennsylvania, and vacationing in the Florida Keys, where he planned on retiring. Randy was an avid reader, completed many crossword puzzles, and was a friend to all animals, supporting many SPCA’s.
He was a long-time member of the Frenchtown Presbyterian Church.
Predeceased by his parents and a brother, Richard Lavoie, Randy is survived by his wife of 27 years, Carol Michael Lavoie of Frenchtown, NJ, his sister, Arlene Breese of Hampton, NJ, his sisters and brothers-in-law, Betty and Mike Bias of Manville, NJ, Joanne and George Harding of Travelers Rest, SC, his brothers and sisters-in-law, Fred and Nancy Lavoie of Belle Mead, NJ, Gary Lavoie of Hillsborough, NJ, Ronald Lavoie, Sr., of Chatham, VA, Victor and Barbara Lavoie of Ferrisburg, VT, Henry and Beverly Lavoie of Harrisburg, PA, and his sister-in-law, Helen Lavoie of Flemington, NJ.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, October 3, 2105, at 11:00 AM in the Frenchtown Presbyterian Church, Fourth Street, Frenchtown, NJ, officiated by the Rev. Patrick W.T. Johnson. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until the time of service at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home in Flemington.
