Raymond Traynor, age 82 years, of Readington Township, NJ, died on Friday, March 3, 2006, in the Hunterdon Care Center, Raritan Township, NJ.
Born in Warren,NJ, August 29, 1923, he was the son of
the late Thomas and Rachel Schwenger Traynor.
He was employed for forty years by Baird Farm Supply, Piscataway, NJ, and then at Bishop's Thriftway, Whitehouse, NJ.
He was a United States Army veteran of World War II.
He was a member of the Whitehouse United Methodist Church, the Flemington VFW Post 7856, and the Flemington Chapter of the Deborah Hospital.
Surviving are his wife, Mabel Fretz Traynor; two sons, James G. Traynor of Three Bridges, NJ, and Howard Traynor of Milford, NJ; a daughter, Marilyn Dayton, of Bridgeton, NJ; sister, Margaret Smithen McClain of Stanton, NJ; seven grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 11 AM in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will be in Rural Hill Cemetery, Whitehouse, NJ. Calling hours will be held on Monday from 7-9 PM in the funeral home.
