Rectford D. Case, Jr.

Rectford D. Case, Jr., age 90 years, of East Amwell Township, NJ, died Thursday, January 1, 2015, at his home. A lifelong resident of East Amwell Township and a lifelong farmer, he was born June 15, 1924, and was the son of late Rectford D. and Alice Fisher Case, Sr. Rex was a 1943 graduate of Flemington High School; a member of Kirkpatrick Memorial Presbyterian Church of Ringoes, NJ, since 1947; an active and now honorary member of the West Amwell Township Fire Co.; the Jersey Gypsies Camping Club; and was an avid gardener. His wife, Jean Housel Case, died June 2014; and he was pre-deceased by a grandchild, Amanda Case Rosso in 2010, and a sister, Willette Pusey in 2011. Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Norma and Erik Zimmerman of East Amwell Township, NJ; a son and his long-time companion, David Rectford Case and Marilyn Desnos of East Amwell Township, NJ; six grandchildren, Steven Case, Chandra Kratko, Angel Cockburn, Jennifer Hoppaugh, Erik Zimmerman and Jason Zimmerman; seven great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and one brother, Barton Case of West Amwell Township, NJ. Funeral services will be held Monday, January 5, 2015, at 11:00 AM in Kirkpatrick Memorial Presbyterian Church 37 John Ringo Road, Ringoes, NJ. Interment will be in Union Cemetery, Ringoes, NJ, under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Calling hours will be Monday 10:00-11:00 AM at the church.
