Rena Z. Srubjan, age 85 years, of Raritan Township, NJ, died Friday, March 20, 2015, in the Hunterdon Care Center, Raritan Township, NJ, where she spent three happy and fulfilled years and with her family by her side. She was born September 11, 1929 in Oxford, NJ, daughter of the late Francis and Hester Wiseburn Zulauf. She attended Washington High School, and spent her leisure time going to dances, where she met her husband, John. They married and she moved to Ringoes,NJ, where she resided most of her life. All through her life, even in the later stages, she was known to keep a positive outlook and her sense of humor. She worked for the NJ Dept. of Transportation until retiring in 2000. Rena was pre-deceased by her husband, John, and two sons, Thomas and William. She is survived by her children, Anthony of Stockton, NJ, Ann Cooper of New Hope, PA., James of Flemington, NJ, Helen of Smithfield, NC and Christine Gares of Frenchtown, NJ; her brother William Zulauf of Virginia and her sister Elizabeth of Attleboro, MA. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 24, 2015, at 11:00 AM in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will be in St. Magdalen Cemetery, Flemington, NJ.
