Renee Mueller Douglas

Renee M. Douglas, age 80 years, of Bridgewater, NJ, died on Saturday, October 16, 2004 at the Arbor Glen Care Facility in Bridgewater, NJ.

Born in Sheboygan, Wisconsin, November 11, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Carl F. and Lenore Eckhardt Mueller. She had resided in Bridgewater, NJ for the past five years, having previously resided in Flemington, NJ, Raritan Township, NJ, and Maplewood, NJ.

She was a retired real estate agent, retiring in 1993. She had worked at the Moncrief Agency, Flemington, NJ, and later for Weidel Realtors, Flemington, NJ. She was a former member of the Flemington Women's Club, the Flemington Borough Board of Adjustment, the Flemington Board of Elections, and the yearly Christmas Carolers Group. She was a member, former Elder, former Chairwoman of the Worship Committee, and past Interim Choir Director and Children's Choir Director at the Flemington Presbyterian Church. She was a former Principal Cellist with the Hunterdon Symphony.

Her husband, Robert Douglas, died in 1975. She is survived by a daughter, Suzanne Douglas, of Flemington, NJ; a son, Robert S. Douglas III, of Oak Creek, CO; and a grandson, Carl Robert MacDonald, of Flemington, NJ.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, October 30, 2004 at 11 AM in the Flemington Presbyterian Church, Flemington, NJ. Interment will be private in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Flemington, NJ. There will be no calling hours. Arrangements are under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ.
