Rhoda M. B. Shields

Rhoda M. B. Shields, age 103 years, of Ringoes, NJ, died on Wednesday, August 17, 2005 in Garden Spot Village, New Holland, PA.

Born in Philadelphia, PA, December 15, 1901, daughter of the late T. Wistar and Margaret Muir Coldstream Brown, Jr., she had resided in Ringoes, NJ since 1970 and formerly had resided in Greenwich, CT.

She was employed for twelve years by N.J. Bell Telephone Company, Newark, NJ. She attended the Kirkpatrick Memorial Presbyterian Church, Ringoes, NJ and was an avid lover of nature, birds and wildflowers.

Her husband, Thomas A. Shields, died in 1993. Surviving is a daughter, Emily Brown Shields of Long Island City, NY.

Funeral Services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. in Kirkpatrick Memorial Presbyterian Church, John Ringo Road, Ringoes, NJ under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ.
