Richard A. "Dick" Brown

Richard A. "Dick" Brown, age 81 years, of Milford, NJ, died on Sunday, July 12, 2009 in the Hunterdon Care Center, Raritan Township, NJ.

Born in Sergeantsville, NJ, March 14, 1928, he was the son of the late Edward C. and Cathryn Stryker Brown. He had resided in Milford since 1972, having formerly lived in Flemington, NJ.

An avid fisherman and gardner, Mr. Brown was a retired reactor operator with Tenneco, Inc. He was a 1946 graduate of Flemington High School, Flemington, NJ and was formerly an active football and baseball player.

His wife, Catherine Dugan Brown, died in 1995. He was also pre-deceased by his twin brother, Edward Brown, two brothers, William and Louis Brown, and two sisters, Joyce Brown and Mary Burget.

Surviving are his son, Keith E. Brown, of Milford, NJ; and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held on Thursday at 10 a.m. in Milford Union Cemetery, Milford, NJ under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ.
