Richard A. Foley

Richard A. Foley, age 72 years, of East Amwell Township, NJ, died on Tuesday, February 3, 2009 in the Hunterdon Medical Center, Raritan Township, NJ.

Born in Jersey City, NJ, January 12, 1937, son of the late Richard A. and Lottie Jorgensen Foley, he had resided in East Amwell Township, NJ since 1974, having formerly resided in Bogota, NJ.

Mr. Foley was a 1954 graduate of Demarest High School, Hoboken, NJ. He was formerly a Processing Supervisor for Thomas J. Lipton Co., Raritan Township, NJ from 1974 until his retirement. Prior to that, he had worked for Lipton in Hoboken and Englewood Cliffs, NJ.

Mr. Foley was a veteran of the United States Navy and a communicant of St. Alphonsus Church, Hopewell, NJ. Additionally, he was a member of the American Legion, Trenton, NJ; a member of the Colonial Sportsmen's Club; a former member of the Exchange Club; and a former member and three year President of the Band Parent Organization of Hunterdon Central Regional High School, Flemington, NJ.

Surviving are his wife of over forty years, Ann Guy Foley; a daughter and son-in-law, Theresa and Steve Hullings of Ewing, NJ; a daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Brian McKeon of Ewing, NJ; a daughter, Kim Baker of Hamilton, NJ; a brother and sister-in-law, Robert J. and Patrice McEnroe Foley of Branchburg, NJ; and six grandchildren, Brandon, Alyssa and Derek Hullings, Ashley and Cole McKeon and Wyatt Baker.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at 10:00 a.m. in St. Alphonsus Church, 54 East Prospect Street, Hopewell, NJ under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ.
