Richard Alexander Polenz

Richard Alexander Polenz, age 48 years, of East Amwell Township, NJ, died on Saturday, March 18, 2006 after a farming accident.

Born in Raritan Township, NJ, August 22, 1957, he had resided in Hunterdon County, NJ all his life.

A 1975 graduate of Hunterdon Central Regional High School, he was an active Dirt Modified Racer for many years at several tracks.

Mr. Polenz was owner and operator of RAP Garage, Raritan Township, NJ, since 1989.

His mother, Gladys Fulper Polenz, died in 1981, and a brother, Robert Polenz, died in 1994.

Surviving are his father and step-mother, Adolf "Artie" and Phyllis Polenz of Delaware Township, NJ; a daughter, Jaclyn Polenz and a son, Ryan Polenz, both of Flemington, NJ; his fiancee, Janet Totten of Ringoes, NJ; a step-daughter, Katie Carman, of Ringoes, NJ; two sisters, Patricia Reid of Hoboken, NJ and Katherine Polenz of Tillson, NY; and two brothers, Scott Polenz of Shavertown, PA and Jeff Polenz of Pattenburg, NJ.

Memorial Services will be held Thursday at 2:00 p.m. in the Larison's Corner Presbyterian Church, 1000 Old York Road, Ringoes, NJ. Interment will be private. Calling hours will be held Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. at the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ.
