Richard D. Krause, age 90 years, of Raritan Township NJ, died October 24, 2020 at his home. Born in Cleveland OH on October 24, 1930, he was the son of the late Frederick and Wilhelmina Rolfson Krause. He had resided in the Flemington area since 1960. For over fifty years, he was employed in the family business, Krause Associates in Frenchtown NJ, a manufacturer of decorative containers. At the time of his retirement, he was the Plant Manager. Dick was a member of the Flemington Presbyterian Church, where he was an Elder and Deacon, and was formerly a long-time member of the Hunterdon County Planning Board. Dick was member of the Darcy Lodge #37, F&AM of Frenchtown NJ, and the Flemington-Raritan Senior Citizens. In his retirement, Dick enjoyed puttering around the house. He and Phyllis enjoyed traveling around the world. He also enjoyed watching nature. His true joy in life was spending time with his extended family. Surviving are his beloved wife of 66 years, Phyllis Stout Krause, four children, Jane Sammons of Bartow FL, Richard Krause of Milford NJ, Jeffrey Krause of Phoenix AZ, and Mary Eelman of Bangor PA, as well as ten grandchildren, Russell Krause, Emily Davis, Devin Krause, Keith Eelman, Neil Eelman, Laura Eelman, Andrew Sammons, Trevor Sammons, Abigail Krause and Dana Krause, and eight great-grandchildren, Bella Davis, Lachlan Davis, Daytona Davis, Haley Davis, Phoenix Davis, Lilliana Davis, Grady Krause, and Elias Krause, and a brother, William Krause of Princeton NJ. He will be dearly missed. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington NJ.
