Richard L. Eichlin, Sr., age 76 years, of Union Township (Pittstown), Hunterdon County, NJ, died on Saturday, February 16, 2008 in Warren Hospital, Phillipsburg, NJ.
Born in Somerville, NJ, October 26, 1931, son of the late W. Clifford and Marjorie Bodine Eichlin, he was a lifelong resident of Pittstown.
A Veteran of the United States Navy, he worked for a number of years at Bodine Lumber, Pittstown, NJ, then was Owner and Operator of Capooling Creek Campers, Pittstown, NJ, then worked for Angels Campers, Bloomsbury, NJ before retiring.
A former meber of the Quakertown United Methodist Church, Quakertown, NJ, Mr. Eichlin greatly enjoyed traveling, woodworking, photography, camping and surf fishing.
A brother, Robert B. Eichlin, died in 2006.
Surviving are his wife of fifty-two years, Joyce Johnson Eichlin; two sons, Richard L. Eichlin, Jr. and Brian K. Eichlin, both of Union Township, NJ; a daughter and son-in-law, Julie A. and Steven Fleck of Williams Township, PA; a daughter, Lori J. Eichlin of Union Township, NJ; five grandchildren; and one great grandchild.
Graveside Services and Interment in Locust Grove Cemetery, Quakertown, NJ, will be private under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Please visit www.holcombefisher.com for further information or to send condolences.
