Richard Nelson Moody, age 73 years, of Clinton Township, NJ, died on Friday, January 28, 2005, in the Hunterdon Medical Center, Raritan Township, NJ.
Born in Allerton, NJ, November 4, 1931, he was the son of the late Richard and Mildred Whitlock Moody. He had resided in the Annandale section of Clinton Township since 1949.
He was a retired security guard with F.L. Schmidt, Lebanon, NJ. He was a United States Army veteran of the Korean War. He helped form the Clinton Rescue Squad, Clinton, NJ, and was a member of the Exempt Fireman's Association of the Annandale Hose Company, Annandale, NJ. He was a member of the Glen Gardner, NJ VFW Post.
He is survived by a sister, Eva Jean Potts, of Standish, ME; an uncle, John Whitlock, Jr., of Danville, VA; three nephews, Curtis Potts of Houston, TX, Keith Potts of Gorham, ME, and Dale Potts of Orono, ME; a niece, Elizabeth Bennett, of Milner, GA; and two cousins.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 11 AM in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will be in Fairmount Cemetery, Fairmount, NJ. Calling hours will be from 10-11 AM Thursday in the funeral home.
