Richard P. Roth, age 57 years, of Alexandria Township, NJ, died on Friday, June 11, 2004 at his residence.

Born in Boston, Mass., April 2, 1947, he was the son of the late George and Mary McCormick Roth. He had resided in Alexandria Township for the past twenty-six years, having previously resided in Hingham, Mass.

He was a social worker at the Stepping Stone School, Bloomsbury, NJ. He was a member of the New Jersey Association of School Social Workers, and a member and past president of the National Beagle Club. He was the author of a book entitled "The Beagle." Additionally, he was the owner and president of Avian Services, Frenchtown, NJ.

He is survived by his wife of thirty years, Linda Holton; two sons: Richard P. Wolfe, of Scituate, Mass., and Daniel J. Holton-Roth, of Manhattan, NY; three daughters: Jennifer A. Decker, of Chambersburg, PA., Sarah A. Holton-Roth, of Boston, Mass., and Emily R. Holton-Roth, of Nantucket, Mass.; two brothers: George Roth, of Marshfield, Mass., and Ken Roth, of Marshfield, Mass.; three sisters: Martha Zayko, of Marshfield, Mass., Carol Costello, of Hull, Mass., and Mary Hankey, of Naples, FL, and five grandchildren.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, June 26, 2004 at 4 p.m. in the Solebury Friends Meeting House, 2860 Sugan Road, Solebury, PA. Interment will be private under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. There will be no calling hours.
