Richard Roe

Richard Roe, age 77 years, of Readington Township, NJ, formerly of Clinton Township, NJ, died on Saturday, November 24, 2012 surrounded by his loving family in Raritan Township, NJ.

Born in Staten Island, NY, November 16, 1935, he was the son of the late George and Minerva Rogers Roe.

He was a United States Army veteran of the Korean War.

He was employed for many years with Tenneco Corporation, Raritan Township, NJ, then by the Flemington Department Store.

He was an avid softball player until the age of seventy and the ultimate NY Giants fan.

Surviving are his wife of fifty-five years, Lenore Ann Brindley Roe; a son, Greg Roe, of Forked River, NJ; three daughters, Vicki Boardman of Flemington, NJ, Laura Roe of Flemington, NJ, and Christine Roe of Easton, PA; two sisters, Grace Roe of Flemington, NJ, and Shirley McDaniel of New York, NY; a brother, Jack Roe, of Staten Island, NY; four grandchildren: James Roe, Megan Roe, Carlye Beyer, and Sam Boardman; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 11 AM in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will be in St. Magdalen Cemetery, Flemington, NJ. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 6-9 PM in the funeral home.
