Richard Roy Hoffman, age 80 years, of Alpha, NJ, formerly of Frenchtown, NJ, died on Thursday, October 15, 2015 in St. Luke’s Hospital, Phillipsburg, NJ.
Born in Baptistown, NJ, September 12, 1935, he was the son of the late Frank and Ethel Niece Hoffman.
Mr. Hoffman worked for Riegel Paper/James River, Milford, NJ for forty-seven years, where he was known as “Mose”.
Surviving are his wife of fifty-seven years, Anna Hommer Hoffman; a son, Roy and daughter-In-law Diane Hoffman, of Flemington, NJ; a brother, Marvin Hoffman of Boone, NC; a sister, Mary Sunday of Nazareth, PA; and two beloved grandchildren: Matthew of Branchburg and Nicole of Flemington.
He was preceded in death by his brother David.
His joys included his grandchildren, gardening and sports and telling his stories.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, November 7, 2015 at Noon in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Flemington, NJ. Calling hours will be held from 11AM until time of service in the funeral home.
