Richard S. Gulick, age 78 years, of West Amwell Township, NJ, died on Wednesday, October 31, 2007 at his residence.

Born in Trenton, NJ, November 25, 1928, he was the son of the late Archibald and Emily Rittenhouse Gulick. He was a lifelong resident of West Amwell Township.

He was a graduate of Lambertville High School, Class of 1946, Lambertville, NJ, and of the Rutgers University College of Agriculture.

Mr. Gulick was a self-employed third generation farmer in West Amwell Township. He was formerly President of the Hunterdon County Board of Agriculture, and a member of the State Agriculture Board of Managers, where he received many awards. He was inducted into the Farmer Honor Roll in 2007 at the Holcombe-Jimison Farmstead Museum.

Mr. Gulick formerly served as Mayor of West Amwell Township, and as a Township Committeeman.

Mr Gulick was formerly a member of the Amwell Masonic Lodge #12 F&A.M., and a former Elder at the Kirkpatrick Memorial Presbyterian Church, Ringoes, NJ.

He was pre-deceased by two sons, Alan R. Gulick, and Philip R. Gulick. Surviving are his wife of fifty-four years, Elsie Anderson Gulick; a daughter, Martha K. Gulick of West Amwell Township, NJ; and a granddaughter, Catherine Gulick-Tuers of West Amwell Township, NJ..

Funeral Services will be held Monday at 2:00 p.m. in the Kirkpatrick Memorial Presbyerian Church, John Ringo Road, Ringoes, NJ. Interment will follow in Union Cemetery, Boss Road, Ringoes, NJ. Calling hours will be Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ.
