Rita R. Anderson

Rita R. Anderson, age 69 years, of Berkeley Heights, NJ, died on Monday, September 13, 2010, in Overlook Hospital, Summit, NJ.

Born in Brooklyn, NY, June 25, 1941, she was the daughter of the late James and Mildred Hodge Anderson. She had formerly resided in Brooklyn, NY, Westfield, NJ, Ringoes, NJ, and Flemington, NJ.

She was a member and former Eucharistic Minister at St. Magdalen Church, Flemington, NJ.

She was pre-deceased by a brother, Richard Blanc in 1991. Surviving are two brothers, James Anderson of Murrells Inlet, SC, and Edward Anderson of Brooklyn, NY; a sister, Gloria Thomas of Sutherlin, OR; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 10:30 AM in St. Magdalen Church, 105 Mine Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will be private. Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ.
