Robert B. Eichlin, age 72 years, of Alexandria Township, NJ (Pittstown), died on Tuesday, March 21, 2006 in Morristown Memorial Hospital, Morristown, NJ.
Born in Somerville, NJ, September 21, 1933, son of the late W. Clifford and Marjorie Bodine Eichlin, he was a lifelong resident of the Pittstown area.
He formerly owned and operated Bodine Lumber Company, Pittstown, NJ and E & E Lawn and Garden Store, Pittstown, NJ. Later, he was a flight instructor and managed the flight school at Alexandria Airport.
Mr. Eichlin was a United States Army Veteran of the Korean War and was a 1951 graduate of Flemington High School. Additionally, he was a member and former Treasurer of the Quakertown Recreation Club; a member of the Quakertown Fire Company; and member of Host Lodge #6, F. & A. M. of High Bridge, NJ.
Surviving are his wife, Sally Seabolt Eichlin; a daughter, Greta Eichlin-Bell of Pittstown, NJ; two sons, Robert C. Eichlin of Raubsville, PA and John W. Eichlin of Pittstown, NJ; a brother, Richard Eichlin of Pittstown, NJ; and four grandchildren.
Another daughter, Brenda Eichlin, died in 1997.
Memorial Services will be held on Saturday at 2:00 p.m. in the Quakertown United Methodist Church, Quakertown, NJ under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ.
