Robert Brunn

Robert Brunn, age 75 years, of Ringoes, NJ, passed away on Sunday, March 30, 2008, at home surrounded by his family after a courageous seven year battle with multiple myeloma.

Born in Trenton, NJ, December 1, 1932, he was the son of the late George and Mary Bastian Brunn.

He was a 1950 graduate of Trenton Central High School. He attended Rutgers University and Trenton State College earning a teacher's certificate.

Mr. Brunn was a member of Carpenters Local Union #31 for fifty-eight years, and taught carpentry at Trenton High Vocational School from 1964 through 1972.

He was a member of the Flemington Elks Lodge #1928, Gothic Fraternal Lodge #270, Hamilton Square, NJ; Elks Thursday Morning Golf Club, and the East Amwell Senior Citizens Club.

Robert was a diehard Philadelphia Eagles fan and a season ticket holder. His greatest love was attending all the Eagles home games with his daughter Susan, son Robert, and grandson Eric. Robert also loved his 1939 antique John Deere tractor and visited the John Deere facility in Moline, IL a few years back.

Surviving are his wife of fifty-two years, Shirley Wolverton Brunn; daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Frank Emanuele of Delaware Township, NJ; son and daughter-in-law, Robert D. and Mary Brunn of Raritan Township, NJ, and her daughter, Danielle; two brothers; Richard and wife Janet Brunn of Whiting, NJ, and George and wife Phyllis of Naples, FL; a sister-in-law, Joan Marie Purdy of Hillsborough, NJ; his mother-in-law, Edna Wolverton of Flemington, NJ; four grandchildren: Eric, Robert, Frankie, and Gregory; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services and interment will be private under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 6-9 PM in the funeral home.
