Robert E. Womack

Robert E. Womack, age 85 years, of West Amwell Township, NJ, died January 10, 2019 at his home surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Ashport, TN, February 6, 1933, Robert was one of ten children.

An electrician for IBEW local 269, Robert was an avid outdoorsman that enjoyed hunting and fishing. In recent years Robert became an avid goose hunter. He was also a card player enjoying games of poker and solitaire.

He is pre-deceased by one son, Robert “Robby” Womack, Jr.

Surviving are his wife of sixty-one years, Margaret Womack; three daughters, Debra Hager and her husband, Fred of Frenchtown, NJ, Rebecca Burak of Pipersville, PA, and Catherine Sowsian and her husband, John of Hopewell, NJ; seven grandchildren, Jared Burak, Sandra Pirrello and her husband, Joe, Jeremy Burak, Sara Sowsian, Jenna Burak, Johnny Sowsian, and Anna Hager; three great-grandchildren, Robby, Ellie and Isla and several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held Saturday, January 19, 2019 from 3:00-5:00 PM in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Cremation services will be held privately.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Robert’s name may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
