Robert G. Schultz, age 83 years, of Franklin Township, Hunterdon County, NJ passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 15, 2024, at his home.
Born in Perth Amboy, NJ, February 20, 1941, he was the son of the late Ferdinand and Dorothy Warburton Schultz. He had resided in Franklin Township for the past fifty-three years.
Robert was formerly a Teacher of Industrial Arts at Katzenbach School for the Deaf and then an Iron Worker for Union Local #373 before retiring.
He was a member of the Bethlehem Presbyterian Church, Grandin, NJ.
Surviving is his wife of fifty-nine years, Joan M. Antoine Schultz; his three children: Robert Schultz, Jr. of Raritan Township, NJ, Daniel Schultz of Lenox, PA, and Amy Schultz of Golden, CO; his sister, Joan Gallop, of Fords, NJ; his three grandchildren: Katelyn Schultz, Leigh Schottman, and Melissa Veres; and four great-grandchildren. Robert was predeceased by his brother Ferdinand Schultz, Jr. (Fred), who passed in 2023.
Robert (Bob) was a great son, father, husband and friend. He loved to travel, hike, spend time in nature, photograph, woodwork, ride motorcycles and share time with friends and family.
A Memorial Service will be announced and will be held in the Bethlehem Presbyterian Church.
Memorial contributions may be made to the National Audubon Society, 225 Varick Street, New York, NY 10014, to the Bethlehem Presbyterian Church at Grandin, 2 Race Street, Pittstown, NJ 08867 or the Nature Conservancy.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ.
