Robert Glenn Russell

Robert Glenn Russell, age 85 years, of Hackettstown, NJ, formerly of Flemington, NJ died on Monday, February 19, 2018 in Hackettstown Regional Medical Center.

Born in Ewing, NJ, February 16, 1933, he was the son of the late Robert and Elizabeth Sonafrank Russell. He had resided in Flemington, NJ most of his life.

An avid bowler, Mr. Russell worked as a truck driver for GLF and Agway before retiring. He enjoyed his “Coffee Group” at the Flemington McDonalds.

He was a United States Army veteran of the Korean War.

He was predeceased by his siblings, Wallace, Helen, and Hilda. Surviving are his wife of 63 years, Doris Marie Fields Russell; his daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and Kerry Smith, of Annandale, NJ; his son and daughter-in-law, Rob and Mary Russell, of Long Valley, NJ; his son, Scott Russell, of Rea, MO; his sister, Esther McRea, of Long Branch, NJ; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 23, 2018 at 10 AM in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment with military honors will be in Lower Amwell Cemetery, Delaware Township, NJ. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, February 22, 2018 from 5-8 PM in the funeral home.
