Robert J. Fulper

Robert (Bob) Jonas Fulper died Sunday, January 31, 2021 on the farm where he was born on February 15, 1927 in Rocktown NJ. He was one of eleven children born to the late Norman and Harriet Pittenger Fulper. He was the beloved husband of Sarah Runyon for 64 years (deceased in 2019), and the loving father of four children - Cindy McKenna (Kevin), Sarah Prall (John), Robert Fulper (Cindi), and Fred Fulper (Kim); he was the proud grandfather of twelve grandchildren: Bo, Josh, Sarah Beth, Colin, Kevin, Grace, Breanna, Chelsea, RJ, Mikayla, Freddy, and David; and great-grandfather to five great-grandchildren: Madison, Sadie, Emma, Jesse, and Kayden. He was born and lived until his death on the family farm in Rocktown where he was a hard-working, successful farmer his entire life. He loved the Lord Jesus and was a life-time member of Kirkpatrick Memorial Presbyterian Church in Ringoes where he sang in the choir for more than 80 years. He served as an Elder multiple terms and on the Board of Trustees at the church. He enjoyed sharing his God given gift of singing and was frequently a soloist in church, at weddings, including those of his children and grandchildren, funerals and other special occasions. Bob was involved in a lot of organizations. He was a 4-H member as a young boy. He was mayor of West Amwell Township for two terms, served on the Township Committee and Planning Board of West Amwell Township for two terms, belonged to the Princeton Agricultural Society and was past Director of Agway. He also served multiple terms on the Farm Services Agency Committee and was Grand Master of the Masonic Lodge from 1963 to 1964. He was a member and on the Honor Roll of Holcombe-Jimison Farmstead, and served as Director of the Federal Land Bank and Director of the Flemington Auction Market. He will be remembered as a man of faith and commitment, with an infectious smile, and a witty sense of humor, compassion and humility. Funeral services officiated by the Reverend Michael Atzert will be held at 10:30 am on Friday, February 5, 2021, at Old Rocks Church, 260 Mt. Airy-Harbourton Road, Lambertville, NJ 08530. Calling hour will be Friday from 9:30 am until the time of service at the church. A light lunch will be provided at the church following the service. Interment will follow lunch at Union Cemetery, Boss Road in Ringoes NJ. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street Flemington NJ.
