Robert John Warren (Bob) died peacefully on April 5th with his family by his side at University Hospital at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City, UT. He was 65.

A viewing will be held on Friday, April 10th from 2 to 4 PM and from 7 to 9 PM, at the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Please visit www.holcombefisher.com to send condolences. Funeral Services will be held at the Frenchtown Presbyterian Church, 20 4th Street, Frenchtown, NJ on Saturday, April 11th at 10 A.M. Interment will be at Prospect Hill Cemetery, 69 Capner Street, Flemington, NJ.

Bob was born in Rahway, New Jersey on January 11, 1944, the son of Jack and Ruth Warren. He grew up in Woodbridge, NJ and graduated from Trenton State College with a B.A. and then volunteered to serve his country in the Marine Corps. He was classed Infantry and served in the Marine Corps at Quantico Virginia from 1966-1968 achieving the rank of Lance Corporal.

He was married to his wife Janet Syby on Christmas Eve 1966, and they enjoyed a marriage of 37 years until her death in 2003.

Bob and Janet left Virginia and returned to New Jersey following his military service and built a home and raised their family in Alexandria Township, NJ. Bob began his teaching career at Delaware Valley Regional H.S. and then moved on to Highland Park H.S. as well as South Brunswick H.S. While teaching he was also very involved and successful in the athletic programs as a football coach, wrestling coach and head coach for the girls track teams, and also coached Little League Baseball. He worked heavy construction as well and was a member of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America, Dockbuilders Local Union #1456.

In 1989 he went into business and opened Flemington Photo, in Flemington, NJ, selling cameras and equipment, as well as providing one hour photo service and digital processing. He and his wife Janet managed and operated the store along with many great employees and made it a successful business for many years. After he closed the store he continued his love for photography and spent time travelling and visiting his sons and grandchildren in Alaska, Texas and Nevada. He will be remembered as a man who loved his country, and his family.

Bob is survived by his sister, Georgia Tierney of Greentown, PA; his brother Jack Warren and his wife Sue of Iselin, NJ; his three sons, Robert and his wife Kaoru of Delta Junction, Alaska; Eric and his wife Brandy of League City, Texas; Michael and his wife Sylvia of Spring Creek, Nevada; his five nieces and nephews, Jack, Kim, Tara, Jessica, and Traci; and his seven grandchildren, Robert John, Thomas, Steven, Amelia, Lexie, Sara, and Eric.
