Robert Kemble Field, Sr.

Robert K. Field, Sr., age 70 years, of Raritan Township, NJ, died on Sunday, May 10, 2009, in the Hunterdon Care Center, Raritan Township, NJ.

Born in Doylestown, PA, May 21, 1938, he was the son of the late Theodore Hamilton and Ada Ruth Kemble Field. He had resided in West Amwell Township, NJ most of his life.

He worked for many years with Hixson Construction, Lambertville, NJ. He was a member of the West Amwell Volunteer Fire Company for over thirty years.

He is survived by his wife of twenty-four years, Della Floyd Field; a son, Robert K. Field, Jr.; four stepchildren: Della Kuntz of Arizona, Sylvia Field of West Amwell Township, NJ, Raymond Palmer of West Amwell Township, NJ, and Scott Palmer of High Bridge, NJ; a sister, Barbara Schaffer of Williamsport, PA; and four grandchildren: Dustin and Sara Smith, and Krystal and Stanley Field.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday at 11 AM in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will be in Old Rocks Cemetery, West Amwell Township, NJ. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 7-9 PM in the funeral home.
