Robert L. Haynes

Robert L. Haynes, age 76 years, of Union Township (Hunterdon County), NJ, died on Tuesday, May 17, 2005, in the University of Pennsylvania Hospital, Philadelphia, PA.

Born in Detroit, MI, June 22, 1928, he was the son of the late Richard and Eva Brooks Haynes. He had formerly resided in Ligonier, PA.

He was a graduate of Virginia Tech, Blacksburg, VA. He was a metallurgical engineer, then was an administrator with Worthington Pump & Turbine Company, retiring in 1988.

He was a member of the Union Township Republican Club, and was the Union Township representative on the Hunterdon County Republican Club.

His wife, Nan Cox Haynes, died in 1989. Surviving are a daughter, Lynn Haynes of Morris Plains, NJ; two sons, Rob Haynes of Union Township, NJ, and Drew Haynes of Aylett, VA; a sister, Mary Frances Haynes of Bluefield, VA; seven grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 7-9 PM in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Graveside services will be held on Friday at 2 PM in Woodlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Bluewell, WV.
