Robert L. Mcmahon

Robert L. McMahon, age 84 years, of Mt. Airy, NJ (West Amwell Township) died Monday, February 23, 2015, in the Hunterdon Medical Center, Raritan Township, NJ.

Born in Newark, NJ, July 30, 1930, son of the late James E. and Kathleen Groh McMahon, he had formerly resided in Ringoes, NJ and had resided in Mt. Airy twenty-five years.

He was retired with the rank of Lieutenant from the New Jersey State Police and later was employed by the NJ Dept. of Transportation, Trenton, NJ.

He served in the United States Army from 1947-1956 and was in the Army of Occupation in Japan following World War II and was a veteran of the Korean War serving as an Airborne Ranger in Korea.

Bob was a communicant of St. John The Evangelist Church, Lambertville, NJ.

Surviving are his wife, Yaeko McMahon, and a sister, Joan McMahon of Hamilton, NJ.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, February 26, 2015, at 10:00 AM in St. John The Evangelist Church, 44 Bridge Street, Lambertville, NJ. Interment was Monday, March 2, 2015, in Our Lady of Czestochowa Cemetery, Doylestown, PA, under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ.
