Robert Donald Lopuzzo, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, son, son-in-law, and brother-in-law passed away on February 13, 2025, just four days prior to his 59th birthday. Born on February 17, 1966, in Paterson, New Jersey, Rob was the son of Linda (Vogel) Lopuzzo and the late Arthur Lewis Lopuzzo. His journey through life was marked by an unwavering dedication to his family and a passion for his work, making a significant impact on those around him.
Rob grew up in Fair Lawn NJ and after marrying his wife, Doreen, the couple lived in North Halden NJ, before moving to Ringoes NJ, where they have lived for the past 29 years. His educational foundation was built at Montclair State University, where he earned a Bachelor's degree while he remained connected with many of his fraternity brothers to this day.
Rob served as Vice President of Sales and Business Development at Newburgh Windustrial, where his exceptional skills and commitment were pivotal in enhancing the company’s bottom line. He worked closely with his cherished partners, Jimmy Lucas and Kris Lucas, and had a successful career at Ferguson and Victaulic prior to his time at Newburgh Windustrial. His business acumen and ability to foster relationships left a lasting impression on colleagues and clients alike.
Rob's personal life was vibrant and full of joy. He cherished time spent fishing, particularly deep-sea fishing trips to Costa Rica with business colleagues, and locally with his son, Stephen. Golfing was another great passion of his, where he enjoyed playing with customers, business partners, friends, and family. He was a longtime member of Copper Hill Country Club in Flemington, where many treasured memories were made.
An ardent supporter of the NY Giants, Rob took great pleasure in Sundays at the stadium, proudly holding season tickets. Known as the "grill master," he delighted in cooking for everyone at tailgate parties, ensuring that those around him felt the warmth of his hospitality.
Rob had a unique zest for life, as seen in his love for maintaining his home. A "leaf blower enthusiast," not a single leaf was permitted on to remain on his driveway. His love for cleanliness extended to his car, which he insisted on washing twice a day, because "one time was just not clean enough." His musical spirit shone through at gatherings, where he would often take the microphone, delighting his family with renditions of “In My Life” by the Beatles, a song he adored sharing with his daughter and later with his granddaughter, Ava.
Family was always at the forefront of Rob's life. He loved to host gatherings that brought everyone together in his home, creating a welcoming atmosphere where all were treated like family. His summers were marked by the joy of vacationing in Wildwood, NJ, a time he eagerly anticipated each year. When he wasn’t traveling for work, he loved to travel to many favorite places with his wife, Doreen. His pride and joy was his granddaughter Ava, whom he adored beyond measure.
Predeceased by his father, Arthur Lewis Lopuzzo, Rob is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Doreen (Tokosh) Lopuzzo; his daughter, Jennifer and son-in-law, Kenny Wilson; his son, Stephen Lopuzzo; his granddaughter, Ava Wilson; as well as his mother, Linda (Vogel) Lopuzzo, his sister, Michele (Lopuzzo) Barbalace and brother-in-law Rosario Barbalace, his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Ruth and Richard Tokosh, his brother and sister-in-law, Fred and Karen Puccio, his niece, Marissa Puccio and nephew, Vincent Puccio.
