Robert M. Nathanson

Robert M. Nathanson, age 68 years, of Hampton, NJ, died Friday, June 28, 2019, at Overlook Hospital, Summit, NJ. Born in New York City, March 17, 1951, son of the late I. Charles and Harriet Roth Nathanson, he had formerly resided in Bergen County, NJ and in Georgia and had resided in Hampton NJ for twenty-five years. He was a graduate of Tufts University with a degree in Economics and was a purchasing agent for Merck & Co., Rahway, NJ, before retiring in 2014. An active volunteer in civic activities, Bob was President of the Washington, NJ Kiwanis Club; Treasurer of the Friends of the Hunterdon County Library and was a member of the Hampton Planning Board. He also volunteered at the Washington Food Pantry. Surviving are his wife of thirty-five years, Susan Levinsky Nathanson; a daughter, Dara M. Nathanson of Lopatcong Township NJ; a son, Chad J. Nathanson of Hampton NJ, and a sister, Arlene Sherer of Syosset NY. Private graveside services will be held in Beth El Cemetery, Paramus NJ, under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington NJ. The family will be welcoming friends and relatives at a Celebration of Life Open House Friday, July 5,2019, 3:00PM-8:00PM at the Hampton Fire House, Hampton NJ.
