Robert Matthew Williges

Robert Matthew Williges, age 70 years, of Raritan Township, NJ, formerly of Pittstown, NJ, died on Tuesday, September 25, 2018 at his home. Born in Summit, NJ, February 18, 1948, he was the son of the late Robert E. and Elizabeth Williges. He graduated from New Providence High School and Fairleigh Dickinson University. Robert was a longtime Computer Programmer with the Bell System before retiring. He was an incredibly kind and patient father and husband. He could fix any car problem, enjoyed camping and fishing with his family and loved music. Surviving are his wife of forty-six years, Joanne Kaufman Williges; his children: Eric, and his wife, Bobbie Williges of New Providence, NJ; Allison Williges of Cold Spring Harbor, NY, and Keith Williges of Graz, Austria; a sister, Jill Payne, of Branchville, NJ; and his nephew, Gregory Payne of Branchville, NJ. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, September 27, 2018 from 5-8 PM in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will be private.
