Robert N Caron, 79, of Milton, Delaware, passed away on May 18, 2011 at the Delaware Hospice Center with family members at his side. Bob was born in Fall River, MA. to Lillian and JB Robert Caron and was raised in North Plainfield, NJ. He raised his family in Warren, NJ and then moved to Whitehouse Station, NJ. After retiring he moved to Smith Mountain Lake, VA and 4 years ago moved to Delaware along with wintering in Fort Myers, Fl. At the time of his retirement he was a partner in Grisby Nut Kitchen of Watchung, NJ.

He was predeceased by his parents and son Brian N. Caron. He is survived by his wife of 33 years and his loving caregiver Gale (Stevens) Caron: son and daughter-in-law Robert J & Allison Caron of Whitehouse Sta NJ; daughter and son-in-law Jeannette & Frank Adami of Dunellen NJ.; 5 grandchildren Brett, Alex and Brian Caron & Jaclyn and Daniel (Christina) Adami. He is also survived by sisters Doris Fano and Lucille Meyers of NY State; Lorraine (Jack) Spencer of Fla; Betty (Leo) Menard and Claudette (Bob) McCann of Del; Annette (Dean) Wright, Lillian (John) Kolbus and a brother Richard all of NJ along with 33 nieces and nephews. Also surviving is a step-daughter, Wendy Comandini, of Arkansas.

He was a volunteer fireman for over 25 years and served as past President of the Warren Twsp Fire Department, past President of both Community Firehouse in Warren NJ and Whitehouse Station Fire Dept. in Readington NJ. In connection with his fire service he played Santa Claus at firehouse Christmas events in Warren and Whitehouse Station as well as in Virginia after retiring. Both he and Mrs. Claus will be remembered for their spirited enthusiasm during many many Christmas seasons. He was a past coach for Warren recreation, a former Knights of Columbus member and usher at Our Lady of the Mount RC Church in Warren, NJ.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 11 AM in St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Summer Road, Three Bridges, NJ under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will follow in Newell Cemetery, Stanton, NJ. Calling hours will be held on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM in the funeral home.
