Robert T. Lehman, age 71 years, of Readington Township, NJ, died on Tuesday, December 4, 2007 at his residence.
Born in Somerville, NJ, April 21, 1936, son of the late Alfred and Ethel Terhune Lehman, he had resided in Branchburg Township, NJ most of his life.
A graduate of Somerville High School, Somerville, NJ and Rider College, Trenton, NJ, he owned and operated Briken Dairy Farms, Hillsborough Township, NJ for twenty-five years before retiring. He then was employed part-time by Foothill Acres Nursing Home, Hillsborough Township, NJ.
A lifelong member of the Readington Reformed Church, he served as Deacon and also was Cemetery Superintendant of the Readington Cemetery. In 2006, he was honored by the Regional Synod of New Jersey as Volunteer of the Year. At one time, he also served in the Army National Guard.
A brother, Henry Lehman, died in 1996. Surviving are four nieces, four nephews and several great nieces and great nephews.
Funeral Services will be held Monday at 11:30 a.m. in the Readington Reformed Church, Readington Road, Readington, NJ. Interment will follow in Readington Cemetery, Readington, NJ. Calling hours will be held Sunday from 7-9 p.m. in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ.
