Robert W. Dutcher, age 91 years, of Raritan Township, NJ, died on Thursday, October 16, 2008 at his residence.
Born in Bound Brook, NJ, July 1, 1917, he was the son of the late Lester and Hazel Potts Dutcher, and had resided in the Flemington, NJ area most of his life.
An air-conditioning and heating technician, he was formerly employed by the Hunterdon Medical Center, Raritan Township, NJ, retiring in 1992.
A 1936 graduate of Flemington High School, he served in the United States Merchant Marine during World War II. He was a former elder and deacon of the Flemington Presbyterian Church, and a Past Master and former secretary of Darcy Lodge #37., F&A.M., Flemington, NJ, where he was a member for over fifty years.
Surviving are his wife of sixty-one years, Arletta Opdyke Dutcher; a daughter, Zeleste Dutcher and her companion Thomas Krex of Phillipsburg, NJ; two grandchildren; Colleen Williamson of Lambertville, NJ, and Melissa Calkin and her husband Britt, also of Lambertville, NJ.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday at 11 AM in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will be in Asbury Presbyterian Cemetery, Asbury, NJ. Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 7-9 PM in the funeral home.
