Robyn Lynn Evans Hilligoss, 54 of Mandeville, LA, passed away peacefully on March 12, 2024, surrounded by her family and close friends.
Robyn was born on October 31, 1969 in Flemington, NJ to Robert Evans and the late Linda (Templeman) Evans.
Robyn graduated from Fairleigh Dickinson University in Madison, NJ in 1992 with a degree in Psychology and the Fine Arts but found her true calling in the culinary industry. Robyn was a foodie, she loved to create meals and desserts, took pleasure in eating a delicious meal and was happiest cooking. She had extensive experience in leading restaurants and catering kitchens and was known in the Mandeville area as “Chef Robyn,” after running a successful catering business for the last 10 years. Prior to that, Robyn was the Executive Chef/Event Manager at Bella Luna Catering, as the house caterer to the Foundry in New Orleans.
She enjoyed traveling with friends and looked forward to new adventures every year. Robyn particularly enjoyed her annual family vacation in Marco Island, Florida. She loved spending time with family and friends, whether in New Jersey, Louisiana or traveling on a new adventure. After embracing her adopted home, Robyn became an avid New Orleans Saints fan. She enjoyed football season and looked forward to participating in her brother’s competitive fantasy football league every year.
Robyn is survived by her father, Bob of Flemington, NJ, her brother Craig and his wife Heather of Ringoes, NJ, many extended members of the family and friends, and her beloved cat, Gus. Robyn is also survived by her former husband, John Hilligoss of Pennsylvania.
A Celebration of Robyn’s life will be celebrated at 12:00 Noon on Saturday, April 6, 2024 at Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ 08822. Interment will be private. Calling hours will be Saturday, April 6th from 10:00 am until the time of service at the funeral home.
